Why not me?
Ernest Holmes said there is a power for good and we can all use it. When we look around, desire things that have not yet appeared in our lives, it can seem that we're the ones left out of good things, good times, good feelings. That's the time to ask 'Why not me?'. If you believe that all around you there is good health, wealth, satisfying relationships and career, then why would that exclude you from the available goodness? This is what we mean by being open to receive. Being open brings you evidence of your willingness. It's a way to step into a prayer. Source moves through you when you leave the door to your soul ajar. You let it in. You see possibilities for yourself, make yourself available for good.
Science of Mind describes this good as ever-present, ever-accessible, ever available. Ripe for the picking. Know that what you may not have seen as a possibility yesterday may become today's 'maybe/probably' and tomorrow's 'done deal.' Gather evidence of your overcoming limiting beliefs in your past. Tell yourself 'I used to believe (previously limiting belief)", 'but now I believe (more empowering belief goes here). Aha! you have already evolved in your embodiment of Truth.
Try writing an encouraging letter to yourself from your future self. I found one recently. My future self told me a year ago that I would be alright, that my fear would disappear. I put the letter away, trusted my inner knowing. Relaxed and reassured, I went forward into my life circumstance. Now I look back and think how much worry and pain I saved myself. My future self was absolutely right.
That inner knowing simply knows, has a broader view of what is possible. In the moment of uncertainty, that knower says 'If everyone has access to the creative source, why not me?'. I'm willing to include myself in the receiving of great things, in the sharing and circulating of life's grace. Now you know. Why not you?
